Dinajpur ( Bengali দিনাজপুর) is a city in Bangladesh that is part of the Rangpur division . The district capital, located in the Dinajpur district, is 413 kilometers from the state capital Dhaka. The city is part of the Upazila Dinajpur Sadar. The population of Dinajpur was over 190,000 in 2011.
The city was founded in 1786. The present congregation has existed since 1856.
