Dinea Island (English; Bulgarian остров Динея ostrow Dinea ) is a low, rocky, in north-northwest-south-southeast orientation 290 m long and 130 m wide island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is 1.35 km west-northwest of Aprilov Point , 0.84 km east-northeast of Miletich Point , 0.88 km east of Kabile Island and 2 km southwest of Ongley Island off the north coast of Greenwich Island .
Bulgarian scientists mapped it in 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2013 after the ancient Roman camp Dinea in northeastern Bulgaria .
