Kabile Island (English; Bulgarian остров Кабиле ostrow Kabile ) is a south-north facing 700 m long island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . Off the north coast of Greenwich Island , it is 0.7 km east of Pavlikeni Point , 1 km north of Crutch Peaks and 2.2 km west of Ongley Island .
British scientists mapped it in 1968. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2005 after the town of Kabile in eastern Bulgaria .
