Dinos painter
The dinosaur painter is a painter of the Attic - red-figure style. He worked around the second half of the 5th century BC. Chr.
The dinosaur painter is in the tradition of the Kleophon painter , but appears less serious. It stands at the transition between high and late classic . With him, the Attic vase painters began to take a new interest in epic scenes. One or a few figures are at the center of an event, not the course of an event is shown in the form of a frieze. His drawings introduce the lush style of the next generation, he is also increasingly using opaque white to bring out details. The use of opaque white for eros and furniture is a novelty of the dinosaur painter; it should be part of the general repertoire of the following generations of painters.
