Dinozoa

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The division of living beings into systematics is a continuous subject of research. Different systematic classifications exist side by side and one after the other. The taxon treated here has become obsolete due to new research or is not part of the group systematics presented in the German-language Wikipedia.

Ceratium sp.

The Dinozoa are a taxon of unicellular organisms that were counted among the Alveolata . As the best known representatives, they contained the dinoflagellates .

features

In the case of the Dinozoa, the spindles of the spindle apparatus are mostly outside the cell nucleus in cytoplasmic channels through the nucleus. The alveoli are usually inflated. Two -part trichocysts are common, with a basal rod of square cross-section and twisted, hollow trichocyst filaments.

Systematics

The taxon was first described in 1981 by Thomas Cavalier-Smith . The following groups were counted among the Dinozoa:

Today the Perkinsidae and Oxyrrhis are considered part of the Protalveolata , the taxon was divided accordingly.
