Camel (heraldic animal)

The camel is a common figure in heraldry and has been a heraldic animal on coats of arms since the early Middle Ages . The rare heraldic animal first appeared around the 13th century.

The description explains whether a dromedary , a trample or a llama is included in the coat of arms . It is primarily shown in its natural, often brown, color and with riding harness. Other colors, such as gold and silver (white), are considered noble for the animal. This has a striking color . The main line of sight is to the heraldic right and striding (one leg raised) is the standard position. In the upper arms , its use is rare.
