Diplomatic money
Diplomatic money in the period of the USSR was a special type of money issued only to diplomats , the face value and denomination of which corresponded to the Russian ruble . It was sold well above the value of the ruble. This was the only way to buy in the state-owned Berjoska store (diplomatic store ). The money was issued in the form of tear-off pads. Each pad had a cover sheet on which the value of the pad was noted. In the shop, the corresponding notes were separated from the block and paid for with them . Today they are no longer in use and are only collector's items.
