Karl Hähnel

Karl Hähnel (* 11. October 1892 in Ilversgehofen , now part of Erfurt , Thuringia , † 14. May 1966 in Königstein (Bavaria) , Bavaria ) was a German athlete and Olympian, who in the 1920s and 1930s to the world's best -goers belonged . On September 20, 1924, in Berlin , he set a world record of 4:36:21 hours in walking 50 km .
