Dipold green (desert)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Desert Dipoldsgrün is a desert near Ruppertsgrün , today part of the city of Weißenstadt in the Upper Franconian district of Wunsiedel .

The place appeared in a document in 1346 in the possession of the von Hirschberg family . The Hirschberg possessions of the Waldsassen monastery confirmed in a document . These included the seat on the Rudolfstein and various surrounding villages. Abbot Franz Kübel sold the Rudolfstein rule to the Nuremberg burgraves Johann and Albrecht . Rüdiger von Sparneck , who did not agree to this sale, raised claims to possessions and rights in the Weißenstadt area. With the exception of Dipoldsgrün, this dispute was decided in favor of the monastery through an arbitration court mediated by the Weida bailiff Heinrich the Elder. In 1414 Friedrich von Sparneck had the rights confirmed again. After that the place was no longer mentioned. It was northeast of Ruppertsgrün on the upper reaches of the Wulgera.
