Dirk Emmerich

Dirk Emmerich (* 1958 ) is a German journalist.

Life

Emmerich studied economics in the GDR at the Berlin School of Economics . He has been a journalist since 1990 and television since 1992. For several years he was in Russia for n-tv . In 2000 he became the head of the service at this station in Berlin, 2003 and 2004 special correspondent during the upheavals in Georgia and Ukraine. From 2007 to 2011 Emmerich was the head of the political department in the RTL capital studio, and since April 2011 he has been the international correspondent.
