The Naninbrücke (Italian: Ponte Nanin) is a motorway bridge in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland . It is part of the Swiss A13 motorway and crosses the Misox south of the San Bernardino Pass . It was designed by Christian Menn . The Nanin Bridge and the Cascella Bridge are referred to as twin bridges due to their history, construction and spatial proximity . Both bridges are in the building tradition of Robert Maillart .

The Nanin Bridge, which continues the arch concept of the Tamins Rhine Bridge, is one of the most impressive structures along the San Bernardino Route, along with the Cascella Bridge. The bridge is around 16 km after the San Bernardino just before the village of Mesocco below Pian San Giacomo. Coming from the south, the vehicles cross the Moësa River via the Nanin Bridge and then, after turning the motorway about 180 degrees, the river again via the Cascella Bridge.

Technical specifications

The owner of the bridge is the transport department of the canton of Graubünden. The polygonal arch of the road bridge was constructed in such a way that the Cascella bridge could also be concreted with the same falsework one year later. The bridge was built with a longitudinal gradient of 6.2%. The very strong dissolution of the bridge ensures that the structure does not destroy the landscape. The bridge panel of the bridges is made of prestressed concrete , arches and pillars are made of reinforced concrete . The deck cantilevered 2.95 m over the upper hollow slab.
