Dirk Fries

Dirk Fries (born June 28, 1979 in Cologne ) is a former German baseball player ( pitcher ). He started his career in 1993 with the Cologne Cardinals , where he played until he moved to the Bonn Capitals in 1997 . After 5 years in Bonn, he moved back to Cologne, where he played for the Cardinals in the Bundesliga baseball from 2002 to 2007 . From 2008 to 2010 he played with the Haar Disciples .

From 1995 to 1997 he was in the squad National Junior German from 1998 to 2009, he was part of the German men's national team in baseball.

During and after his active career, he looked after junior, national and national league teams as head coach and assistant coach of the German men's national team, Greg Frady . Since March 15, 2015, Fries has been the sports director of the German Baseball and Softball Association .
