Dirk Stamer (born June 13, 1980 in Oldenburg ) is a German business IT specialist and politician ( SPD ).

Life

After graduating from the old grammar school in Oldenburg and completing basic military service, Dirk Stamer studied business informatics at the University of Rostock . He then worked for the IT management consultancy Accenture until 2009 as a technical system test consultant. Between 2009 and 2011 he worked as a release manager at Otto GmbH & Co KG in Hamburg. From 2011 to 2016 he was employed as a research assistant at the Chair of Information Systems at the University of Rostock.

Dirk Stamer has been the community representative for the community of Kritzmow and a member of the community's main committee and responsible for the website since 2014 . He is socially involved in the parents' council of the day care center and in the support association of the elementary school in Kritzmow. He is politically active as the deputy chairman of the SPD local association Warnow-Südwest and on the district board of the Rostock district. Dirk Stamer is a member of the Education and Science Union .

He was directly elected to the state parliament in the state elections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in 2016 in constituency 12 (Rostock II district) . There Dirk Stamer is a member of the education committee, the petitions committee and the parliamentary committee of inquiry "welfare associations". He is also active as spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group for university policy, research and technology policy and petitions.
