Abū n-Najīb as-Suhrawardī
Abū n-Najīb as-Suhrawardī ( Persian ابوالنجیب عبدالقادر سهروردی, DMG Abū n-Naǧīb ʿAbd-al-Qādir as-Suhrawardī ; born around 1097 ; died 1168 ) was a famous Iranian Sunni Sufi scholar. His followers form the group of the Sufi order of the Suhrawardiyya .
It is believed that Sheikh Saineddin is the son of the order's founder.
Abu Najib as-Suhrawardi was the uncle of Abu Hafs Umar as-Suhrawardi (1145-1234), who studied Sufism under him.
