Beginnings (1989–1991)

After working in a record store for some time, Slegers met many techno artists who had never released their material because their music was not commercial enough for the Dutch record companies. Nederhop period (1991-2004)

In 1991 Saskia Slegers discovered the Dutch rap group Osdorp Posse (from the Dutch district of Osdorp ). Hip-Hop with Dutch texts of this kind is called Nederhop .

The first album Osdorp Stijl was released in 1992. Many followers of style could their tracks on the CD - Compilation De posse publish. Djax Records offered the best artists a contract. Groups like Neuk! and Space Marines were special because they mixed rap with punk and metal . In 1997 the sub-labels Djax-Break-Beatz and Djax-X-Beats were started. In 1998 the Dutch group Osdorp Posse decided to found their own record company and left the Djax label. After Osdorp Posse left, ABN and Spookrijders were the label's most important artists. On January 1st 2004 Saskia Segers decided to stop working with the Nederhop groups.
