Nederhop
Nederhop is a musical style consisting of the elements Neder- for Netherlands or Dutch language and -hop for hip-hop . Nederhop is created in the Netherlands and / or uses the Dutch language.
history
The first notable success was recorded in 1986: The Dutch rapper duo MC Miker G & DJ Sven (Lucien Witteveen and Sven van Veen) achieved international, but only short-term , with the English-language title Holiday Rap (a sample from Madonna's hit Holiday ) Attention. In the Dutch-speaking area, on the other hand , the Osdorp Posse group (after the Osdorp part of an Amsterdam district) successfully interpreted the Nederhop in their native language for twenty years from 1989. In 1992 Osdorp Posse also produced the first hip-hop album to be sung entirely in Dutch .
Also worth mentioning are the titles Back by dope demand by King Bee and Rudeboy by Urban Dance Squad .
Many early Dutch hoppers were more popular in the United States than in the Netherlands itself.
In general, the style was initially reminiscent of American old school hip-hop, but was shaped more individually in the 1990s by artists such as Westklan and Osdorp Posse on the one hand and Extince on the other.

The foundations initially laid by the West Klan and Extince are becoming more and more differentiated, more artists make the jump into the charts. Names like Ali B , Yes-R , Keizer , Darryl , Kempi , Sjaak , Appa , Salah Edin and Lange Frans & Baas B should be mentioned .
