Djedbastetiuefanch

Djedbastetiuefanch was an ancient Egyptian vizier of the 26th dynasty, who officiated under King ( Pharaoh ) Psammetich I. In ancient Egypt, the vizier was the highest state office after the king. Since the New Kingdom , the office has been divided into two parts. Djedbastetiuefanch was an Upper Egyptian vizier. So he resided in Thebes . Djedbastetiuefanch is only known from a stele that was found in Abydos but was made in Achmim . The stele belonged to the vizier's son, Nespernebu. The wife of the vizier and mother of the stele owner was a certain Taneschet. The father of the vizier is also named and is called Padiaset and was a priest of Amun in Karnak . So the family comes from Thebes. Djedbastetiuefanch bore the title of vizier as well as the title of priest of Amun.
