Dmitri Jurjewitsch Jelchin ( Russian Дмитрий Юрьевич Елхин , scientific transliteration Dmitrij Jur'evič Elchin ; born May 20, 1989 in Saransk ) is a Russian biathlete .
Dmitri Jelchin started his international career relatively late. He no longer competed in his first races as a junior, but already with the men in the IBU Cup . In 2013 he made his debut here in Osrblie and reached the points as 18th of an individual. In the sprint he was 25th and was nominated after the results for the 2013 European Championships in Bansko . In Bulgaria he was used in singles and finished 43rd.
