Dmitri Anatoljewitsch Kosontschuk ( Russian Дмитрий Анатольевич Козончук ; born April 5, 1984 in Voronezh ) is a Russian cyclist .

Career

In 2004 Dmitri Kosontschuk won a stage in the Dutch Olympic Tour for youngsters . He then joined the UCI ProTeam Rabobank farm team . In his first year there, he was able to win, among other things, the U23 event of the spring classic Paris – Roubaix . In 2006 he won a stage in the Thuringia Tour . In the seasons 2007 to 2010 he was in the squad of the ProTour-Équipe of Rabobank and contested for this team with the Giro d'Italia 2007 his first Grand Tour , which he finished in 100th place overall. In the following years he drove for various teams, for which he competed in Grand Tours several times , but could not achieve any further individual successes.
