Adolf Gallwitz

Adolf Gallwitz (* 1951 ) is a German police psychologist and psychotherapist as well as a profiler at the police college in Villingen-Schwenningen .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1970, Adolf Gallwitz studied educational sciences and passed the teaching qualification examination at the University of Erlangen in 1973. In 1977 he passed the main diploma examination for psychology in Erlangen. From 1976 to 1982 he was a research assistant at the University of Erlangen and a research assistant at the Federal Academy. Years of employment at the Bundeswehr Hospital in Ulm followed. In 1996 he began as a lecturer at the police college in Villingen-Schwenningen . There he worked until his retirement in 2013 as a university professor and vice dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences as well as an expert (e.g. at the International Court of Justice in The Hague ) and consultant on police operations. He is the initiator nationwide prevention campaigns for sexual violence against children and worked for several years in the United States for US federal agencies.

He is familiar with the US police work in this area of ​​crime and was a scientific advisor and profile investigator for the television program "Fahndungsakte" ( Sat.1 ) for several years . His areas of expertise are leadership in extreme situations, sexual deviance , youth violence and the media. For several years he has also been working on preparing society for the pandemic form of avian flu . In addition to many articles, together with Manfred Paulus, he has also published several books on child abuse , pedophilia and child prostitution in Germany.
