Rai Leh (also written Railay , Thai อ่าว ไร่ เล ย์ , RTGS Ao Rai Le - pronunciation : [ ʔàːw.râi.leː ]) is a peninsula in the Krabi Province in southern Thailand . It is located in the Amphoe Mueang Krabi and protrudes into the south of Ao Nang Bay in the Andaman Sea . It is one of the most spectacular travel destinations in southern Thailand. High, jungle-green limestone formations rise from inland. These partially limit the peninsula.

Rai Leh cannot be reached by land. With the typical longtail boats you can reach the beaches and sights of Ao Nang beach or the provincial capital Krabi . The landscape and the beaches are worth seeing. In particular, the Phranang Beach deserves a mention, which is one of the most beautiful in Thailand. The east beach of Rai Leh is not suitable for swimming, as ebb and flow are very pronounced there, there is mangrove growth and the beach is very shallow. However, here is a climber's paradise. A handful of climbing schools offer the services. A visit to a crater lake, combined with hard climbing high up and into a limestone cliff, is something for the more experienced.

Rai Leh is built on with hotels and bungalow complexes, which are comparatively heavily frequented in the main Thai travel season (November to April).
