D. Moor
D. Moor ( Russian Д. Моор ; born October 22, jul. / 3. November 1883 greg. In Novocherkassk ; † 24. October 1946 in Moscow ), actually Dmitry Moor ( Russian Дмитрий Стахиевич Орлов ) was a Russian-Soviet graphic .
D. Moor was one of the founders of the Soviet political poster. In 1920, during the Civil War , he created the propaganda posters “Have you signed up as a volunteer?”, “Wrangel is still alive, beat him to death without mercy” and “The red gift for white Pan”. Sharply delimited light reflections and an expressive drawing of the contours were characteristic of his work.
During World War II, Moor created a series of posters and headed an artist brigade at the Moscow Art School.
