The Doggo Defile (English for hidden ravine ) is a mountain pass less than 1.5 km wide and steep-walled on the Fallières coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It leads through the coastal mountains east of the Dee Piedmont Glacier .
The pass was photographed from the air in 1947 during the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948). The Falklands Islands Dependencies Survey carried out surveys from 1948 to 1950 and again in 1958. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee gave the pass a descriptive name in 1962, as the north-western entrance is only partially visible from the coast and the pass is otherwise completely covered by the surrounding mountains.
