Document film
Document film refers to a special form of photographic film that was specifically used in reproduction .
Fixed facilities ( tripods , repro facilities, etc.) were mostly used for reproduction . The document film can therefore have a low sensitivity and hence a high resolution and a high grain size . The materials usually have a steep gradation .
Today (as of 2020) media are predominantly reproduced digitally .
