Dolmen de la Grenouille

The Dolmen de la Grenouille (also called Dolmen de Changé 1 ) is a dolmen on Rue des Dolmens, at the northern exit of the village of Changé in the commune of Saint-Piat in the Eure-et-Loir department in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The remains of the Dolmen de la Grenouille are the most striking of the three dolmens in Changé near the Eure .

The broken dolmen with two side plates and the crooked capstone about 6.0 meters long looks like a frog. The chamber is about three feet wide, but there is no telling how long it was. The access was probably to the southeast where the capstone lies on the ground.

About a hundred meters to the north are the Dolmen Petit and the Dolmen du Berceau and in the open field the menhir Le But de Gargantua .
