Dolmen des petits Fradets

The simple dolmen ( French dolmen simple ) Dolmen des Petits Fradets (also called Maison de la Gournaise ) is located near La Gournaise on the "Route des Petits Frades" and near the Dolmen de la Planche à Puare and the Allée couverte des Tabernaudes on the North coast of the Île d'Yeu in the Vendée department in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The dolmen with preserved parts of a sloping corridor dates from the Neolithic Age (around 3000 BC). The long capstone, which was broken by vandalism and which lies over a number of bearing stones, is preserved. The name Fradets or Fras means goblin in the local dialect. The dolmen is a historical monument in the list from 1992.
