The dolmen in Bois de la Plesse are located on Mont Castre, near Lithaire in the Manche department in Normandy . The two plants located on the Cotentin peninsula near the "Camp de César" were examined and restored in 1964 by Bernard Edeine (1908–1999). In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The better preserved dolmen Sud des Bois de la Plesse is a megalithic complex from the end of the Neolithic Age (2000 BC). The west-east facing system, with access to the west, is of modest dimensions (length eight meters). Most of the bearing stones are preserved, but none of the cap stones. The low height of the orthostats indicates a chamber height of approximately one meter. Three flat stones divide the grave area. The few remaining curbs marked the border of the presumably D-shaped stone hill which originally probably covered the "Dolmen à couloir" or the Allée couverte .

A far more damaged Allée couverte is to the north, about 30 m away.
