Dolmen le Grès de Linas
The Neolithic dolmen le Grès de Linas (also called Le Loup de Thionville or Pierre Levée [de Graudeville] ) is located in Congerville-Thionville southwest of Etampes in the Essonne department south of Paris in France, which is poor in megalithic systems . In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).
The dolmen is made of sandstone and limestone . The broken sandstone capstone is about 2.5 m long, 2.0 m wide and 37 cm thick and rests on two supporting stones.
The dolmen has been classified as a historical monument since 1970.
In addition to the Dolmen le Grès de Linas, the department also has the Allée couverte La Grosse Pierre , as well as the dolmen Dolmen La Pierre Levée and Roche qui Tourne .
