Candare dolmens

The dolmens of Candare 1 + 2 are located south of the hamlet of Candare and the road between Miers and Floirac near Gramat in the Lot department in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The small dolmen with two slightly inclined side stones, an end stone and the inclined scarred capstone sits on the remains of its hill. It has a rectangular chamber less than two by one meters with the entrance.

A few hundred meters behind the Dolmen of Candare 1 are the remains of Dolmen Candare 2 sunk into its hill. It also has three stones on the side, but no capstone.
