The three dolmens of Combe de Sole 1 - 3 (also called Dolmen de la Combe de Saule A, B and C) are located in Marcilhac-sur-Célé , in a row on the Chemin de Cajarc à Saint-Sulpice, on the edge of Saint-Chels in the Lot department in France . There are four other dolmens nearby . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

Dolmen 1

Dolmen 1 in the south is a medium-sized simple dolmen ( French dolmen simple ). The hill is almost worn away. The chamber, which is open to the south, is 1.1 m wide. The two bearing stones measure approximately 2.7 × 0.8 / 0.85 m and are 0.3 m thick. The overhanging capstone is 0.5 m thick and measures 2.3 × 1.9 m. A low wall of dry masonry on the south side comes from its use as an agricultural shed.

Dolmen 2

The dimensions of Dolmen 2, 200 m away, are monumental due to the 0.45 m thick capstone of around 5.0 × 2.9 m protruding on all sides. The tumulus , with a diameter of about 15 m, is slightly damaged and shows a row of curbs around the rather small, about 1.0 m wide chamber. The two 3.5 and 3.4 m long bearing stones are 1.05 m high and 0.4 and 0.3 m thick, respectively. The end stone of 1.0 × 0.85 m is only 0.1 m thick. The sifted out material, a lot of ring-shaped and cylindrical beads made of calcite, bones and shells, a spearhead and bronze rings are believed to have come from a grave.

The dolmen has been registered as a historical monument since 2012.

Dolmen 3

The heavily damaged Dolmen 3 in the north is about another 200 m away. Its capstone is broken into several pieces, the main part of which is next to the chamber. The bearing stones are essentially similar to those of Dolmen No. 2, but the chamber is much wider at 1.4 m. The two approximately 3.1 and 2.95 m long bearing stones are 1.05 m and 0.9 m high and 0.35 and 0.3 m thick. The end stone of 0.8 × 0.8 m is barely 0.1 m thick.

Nearby is the Dolmen de la Devèze-sud .
