Combemousseuse dolmen

The dolmen of Combemousseuse (also Combe mousseuse ) is a simple dolmen , near the hamlet l'Espinassière, southwest of La Capelle-Balaguier in the Aveyron department in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The capstone-free dolmen consists of the two four-meter-long side bearing stones and the end stone of the almost square chamber.

In nearby Martiel , the Dolmen de l'Espinassière and Dolmen du Puech Mort 1 + 2 are about 750 meters away . The dolmens in the Aveyron often appear in groups and 92% of all dolmens are made of limestone slabs .
