Rectangular dolmen

The Dolmen of Dedelow (also called Dedelow 1 ) is located north of the hamlet of Steinfurth, in Dedelow , a district of Prenzlau in the Uckermark district in Brandenburg . The megalithic system with the Sprockhoff no. 458 was created between 3500 and 2800 BC. BC as a plant of the funnel beaker culture (TBK).

description

It is an approximately east-west oriented, largely covered by vegetation, extended dolmen about 2.5 m long and 1.4 to 1.2 m wide, which lacks all (two) capstones. The long sides each have three bearing stones, of which the middle one is missing on the north side. The two keystones are in situ . The bearing stones that have been preserved are mostly incomplete because the upper parts were blasted off. A drill hole can be seen in a stone. The chamber is located in a still clearly recognizable, oval mound, which is missing all the curbs.

West of Dedelow 1 is a smaller burial mound, Dedelow 2 ( Lage ). However, this facility is completely destroyed.
