Dolmen of La Borderie

The dolmen of La Borderie is at the end of a dead end road, west of Berneuil in the Haute-Vienne department in France . In France, dolmen is the generic term for Neolithic megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

The reconstructed dolmen is almost 2.0 meters high. Some of the six bearing stones have been put together from fragments. On the access side there is a stone in the ground. The chamber measures approximately 3.5 x 2.5 m and is covered by a large capstone. A pasture fence borders the chamber on both sides.

The dolmen has been registered as a monument historique since 1983 .

The dolmen of La Lue is 500 m away .
