Berneuil ( Occitan : Bernuèlh ) is a municipality with 426 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the north of the Haute-Vienne department in France . Berneuil belongs to the arrondissement of Bellac and the canton of Bellac (until 2015: canton of Nantiat ). The inhabitants call themselves " Berneuillais ".

Berneuil is located about 29 kilometers north-northwest of Limoges . Berneuil is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Junien-les-Combes in the north, Saint-Pardoux-le-Lac with Roussac in the east, Nantiat in the southeast, Chamboret , Breuilaufa and Vaulry in the south, Blond in the west and Bellac in the northwest.
The national route 147 runs through the municipality .
