It belongs to the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , the Haute-Vienne department , the Bellac arrondissement and the Châteauponsac canton . It borders on Cromac in the northwest , Saint-Georges-les-Landes in the northeast, Saint-Sulpice-les-Feuilles in the east, Arnac-la-Poste in the southeast, Saint-Hilaire-la-Treille in the southwest and in the West with Saint-Léger-Magnazeix . The former Route nationale 712 runs through Mailhac-sur-Benaize .
