Val-d'Oire-et-Gartempe is a French commune with 1,671 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Haute-Vienne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the arrondissement of Bellac and to the cantons of Bellac and Châteauponsac .
It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2019, by merging the previous municipalities of Bussière-Poitevine , Darnac , Saint-Barbant and Thiat . Since then, these have been Communes déléguées . The Mairie is in Bussière-Poitevine .
