description
The covering hill has completely disappeared. The small dolmen, hidden in a group of trees ( hawthorn and walnut trees ) in the middle of a field, with the large split ceiling plate, which is supported by six preserved high bearing stones, has a rectangular chamber. The chamber measures approximately 3.0 x 2.0 meters. The capstone is one meter thick.
According to Gustave Chauvet (1840-1933) the Neolithic dolmen was excavated by Octave (or Raoul) and by Daly Brune in 1869 and contained some objects.
The dolmen has been classified as a monument historique since 1927 .
