Rochesseux dolmen

The dolmen of Rochesseux (also called la Pierre d'Aubazine , Puy de Pauliac or Dolmen du Bos Ayretié ) is located northeast of Aubazines (also Aubazine) near Brive-la-Gaillarde in the Corrèze department in France . The north-east oriented simple dolmen ( French dolmen simple ) is located in a park landscape on the slopes of the Puy de Pauliac above the village of Aubazines. In France, dolmen is the generic term for megalithic structures of all kinds (see: French nomenclature ).

An approximately triangular, strongly rounded capstone about 3.0 m × 2.0 m in size rests on two lateral supporting stones of different lengths and an end stone above a slightly trapezoidal chamber about 2.5 m long and 1.0 m wide. The two inwardly inclined side stones are pointed at the top and the cap stone rests on them and the small end stone in three-point contact, which protrudes particularly at the rear.

The cromlech of the Puy de Pauliac is about 750 m north and the very similar dolmen La Cabane de la Fée is about 4.3 km south-east .
