Domingo Hồ Ngọc Cẩn

Domingo Hồ Ngọc Cẩn (born December 3, 1876 in Ba châu, Vietnam ; † November 27, 1948 ) was a Catholic bishop and Vicar Apostolic of Bùi Chu . His name combines western naming tradition ( Domingo as a first name before the family name Hồ ) with the Vietnamese ( Ngọc Cẩn as a personal name after the family name).

Life

On March 11, 1935, Pope Pius XI appointed him . as coadjutor of Bùi Chu and titular bishop of Zenobias . When, on June 17, 1936, the Apostolic Vicar of Bùi Chu, Pedro Muñagorri y Obineta O.P. , died, he became his successor. Hồ died in office in November 1948.
