Dominic Busch

Dominic Busch (* 1976 in Koblenz ) is a German cultural scientist .

Life

From 1996 to 2000 he studied cultural studies ( diploma ) at the European University Viadrina and from 1998 to 1999 University of Dublin , Trinity College. In 2001 he was a research assistant at the Southeast European Media Center of the European University Viadrina and the University of Sofia . From 2001 to 2003 he was a research assistant at the Southeast European Media Center of the European University Viadrina and the University of Sofia. From 2003 to 2004 he had a scholarship in the doctoral program Intercultural Mediation in the Border Region at the European University Viadrina. After receiving his PhD in 2004 phil. (summa cum laude) at the Faculty of Cultural Studies in Frankfurt an der Oder . Title of the dissertation: Intercultural Mediation. A theoretical foundation for triadic conflict management in intercultural contexts, he was a research assistant in the German-Polish office for academic further education and distance learning at the European University Viadrina from 2004 to 2006. From 2006 to 2011 he taught as a junior professor for intercultural communication at the European University Viadrina. In 2009 the positive interim evaluation as a junior professor took place. In 2009 he was professor (Intercultural Communication) at Jyväskylä University . Since 2011 he has been teaching as W3 professor for intercultural communication and conflict research at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich . In 2013 he turned down the offer of a W3 professorship for intercultural communication at the TU Chemnitz .
