Ingleneuk House is a residential building in the small Scottish town of Banff in the Aberdeenshire Council Area . In 1972 the building was included in the Scottish monument lists in the highest monument category A.

description

Located off the Water Path near Banff Castle , the residential building was built in the late 17th century. The building is only partially visible from the street. It can be accessed via an inner courtyard beyond an archway at number 2. Stylistically, the building corresponds to a type that was common in Banffshire in the 18th century.

The facades of the quarry stone building are plastered with Harl , with natural stone surrounds being offset. The east-facing main facade of the two-story residential building is three axes wide, but not completely symmetrical. The rear facade, however, is five axes wide. The wide entrance portal is designed with two wings. The building closes with a slate roof . Its north gable on the street side is designed as a stepped gable .

Inside there is a sandstone stove that was installed around 1700. In its segmented design, it corresponds to the typical regional contemporary architecture and is connected to the square chimney on the north gable.
