Dominique Da Silva (born August 16, 1989 in Dakar ) is a Mauritanian football player .

Career

society

Da Silva began his career in 2006 at Académie de Football Nouakchott and moved to CS Sfax the next year. Here he was regularly used and was able to reach the cup final with his club in the 2008/09 season, which was lost. In 2010 he moved to the Egyptian record champions al Ahly Cairo and was champion here three times. In 2013 he moved to arch rivals al Zamalek SC , but left the club after ten appearances and signed on with al Urooba Mirbih .

National team

Da Silva was born in Senegal and would therefore have been eligible to play for the Senegalese national team, but decided to play for the neighboring country of Mauritania . He made his debut on May 31, 2008 in a qualifier for the 2010 World Cup against Rwanda , but his debut was less successful as Mauritania lost the game 3-0.
