Dominique Rey
Dominique Marie Jean Rey (born September 21, 1952 in Saint-Étienne , France ) is a French clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Fréjus-Toulon .
Life
Dominique Rey was born in 1952 as the last of seven children. After studying economics and obtaining a doctorate, he began studying theology at the Institut Catholique in Paris in 1979 , completing a degree in Catholic theology and a diploma in canon law. On 23 June 1984 he was a member of the Emmanuel Community for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Paris by the then Archbishop Jean-Marie Lustiger for priests ordained. From 1988 to 1995 he was responsible for the priests and seminarians of the Emmanuel Community. In 1995 he became pastor at the Sainte-Trinité in Paris.
On May 16, 2000, John Paul II appointed him Bishop of the Diocese of Fréjus-Toulon . Archbishop Jean-Marie Cardinal Lustiger donated him episcopal ordination on September 17th of the same year .
