history

The municipality of Don Marcelino was formed on December 19, 1979. The first appointed mayor was Vicente S. Maruya, who held the office for six years until he had to resign after the EDSA revolution and Victor Rodriguez took over the office. Victor Rodriguez served as mayor for three terms. His successor in office was Fidel Sasuman, who also held the office for three terms and was mayor until June 2007. Elected Mayor from 2007 to 2010 is John Harvey Johnson.
