action
Terence Hill plays the pastor Don Matteo in the small Italian town of Gubbio . Gubbio is in the province of Perugia in the Umbria region . Don Matteo is friends with the Carabiniere Antonino Cecchini. So he regularly receives information on the current criminal cases that are being processed by the Carabinieri of Gubbio. To the displeasure of the Carabinieri, Don Matteo always solves the criminal cases a little faster than the Carabinieri themselves. His relationship with the Carabinieri can generally be described as very good, only the fact that Don Matteo solves the cases over and over again annoys the boss in particular local Carabinieri from Gubbio, Capitano Giulio Tommasi (from season 6), before that Capitano Flavio Anceschi .
