Don Peake

Donald Gregory "Don" Peake (born June 7, 1940 in Los Angeles ) is an American musician and composer for film music.

Life

Don Peake's music career began in 1961 as a guitarist for the Everly Brothers . In 1964 he was the first white guitarist to tour with the legendary Ray Charles Orchestra for 10 years. During this time he received further guitar training from Barney Kessel , Howard Roberts and Joe Pass . In Los Angeles he quickly became one of the most sought after guitarists, working and producing with Jan and Dean , The Mamas and the Papas , Sonny and Cher , the Beach Boys .
