Donald C. Bolduc as commander of SOCAFRICA

Donald C. Bolduc (born 1961 or 1962 ) is a former brigadier general in the United States Army .

Bolduc joined the Army on June 28, 1981. Bolduc has been stationed in the country several times since the outbreak of the Afghan War. As Brigadier General, Bolduc was Deputy Head of AFRICOM from 2013 to 2015 . Bolduc was then commander of SOCAFRICA for two years . He then retired from the military in 2017.

Bolduc announced in June 2019 that he was running in the Republican primary for the nomination for the seat in the United States Senate , previously held by Democrat Jeanne Shaheen . The main election will take place in November 2020 at the same time as the presidential election.
