Donato Giancola

Donato Giancola (* 1967 ) is an American painter and has won numerous awards in the field of fictional painting.

Life

Donato Giancola lived in Vermont when he was young . He later lived for three years in Syracuse , New York , where he went to school. After graduation, he moved to Brooklyn, New York, where he lives with his wife and two daughters.

Giancola first studied electrical engineering at the University of Vermont , but dropped out to study painting at Syracuse University . 1992 Donato graduated from his studies, which had a focus on fine arts (the fine arts), with excellent success.

Giancola describes himself as a “classic abstract realist who works with science fiction and fantasy ”.

Awards

Donato Giancola has received numerous awards. Some are mentioned here:

  • World Fantasy Award : Best Performer, 2004.
  • Eight Chesley Awards from the Association of Science Fiction & Fantasy Artists (ASFA) including the Web Award
  • Several silver and gold medals as well as the title of the best contemporary interpreter in science fiction and fantasy painting. (Spectrum)
  • Hugo Award for best professional interpreter 2006; also nominated six times.
