Dondogijn Zewegmid

Dondogijn Zewegmid (* 1915 ; † 1991 ) was a Mongolian writer and politician.

Life

First he completed training as a teacher. This was followed by a degree in biology in Moscow . He received his doctorate in 1950. He was a member of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party and became a member of its Central Committee . He also chaired the Party's Committee on Higher and Technical Education. He was a member of the Great People's Hural , the Mongolian parliament, and chaired the parliamentary group of the parliament. From 1972 he was deputy chairman of the Mongolian Council of Ministers .

Dondogijn Zewegmid was recognized as an Honored Teacher of the MVR and was honorary doctor of the Lomonossow University and the Berlin Humboldt University . In addition, he was a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the GDR .
