Explorations (book series)

Explorations is the title of a book series of the publisher Volk und Welt Berlin . The 64 titles in the series are all edited volumes containing stories by authors from a country or region. The first title appeared in 1966.

Short biographies of the authors are published in the appendix to the books in the series.

Numerous titles in this series were published several times. Subsequent volumes of some volumes were later published. So there were 24 Chilean narrators (1974) followed by 22 Chilean authors (1976). In 1996 the last title was put together with 20 storytellers from the English-speaking Caribbean . The series of books has come to an end because the Volk und Welt Berlin publishing house was liquidated in 2001.
